Vishnubhaskar was living separately for the last few months. He was allowed to take daughter to his house for two days in a week and on one such occasion he had tried to sexually assault the girl, his estranged wife in a complaint lodged to the All Woman Police station said.
Based on the complaint, Vishnubhaskar was arrested and registered cases under various sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, All Woman Police Station Inspector Ganapathy said.
