The incident took place in the limits of Porsa police station when Pushpendra Shukla, who had a liking for a 17-year-old girl passed some lewd remarks last evening while she was returning from an agriculture field, police said.
"The girl chided him and in a fit of rage, Shukla stabbed her with knife in stomach and thereafter using a country made pistol shot the girl in her back, according to her family ," Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Raghuvansh Singh said.
He said that both parties have lodged complaints against each other and investigations are underway.
The officer said that no arrest has been made so far and heavy police force has been deployed in the area.
