The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) said that he has been the member of the Managing Committee of FIEO for a long time.
"Gupta will take over as President of FIEO in 2017 when the term of the current president is over," it said.
Gupta had earlier also held the post of FIEO President.
