Finmin seeks suggestions for budget

The Revenue department has begun prepartions for the annual budget presentation exercise as it has asked field formations of central tax departments to prepare suggestions in this regard.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), the apex policy making body for I-T department, has recently asked all its Chief Commissioners to provide suggestions and ideas with regard to the forthcoming budget.
The communication said the annual budget for 2014-15 is expected to be presented soon after the general elections and hence the officials have been asked to send in their respective recommendations.
Officials said a similar communication has been issued by various other wings of the Finance Ministry to their ground offices.
The general elections will be taking place in nine phases and the poll results are scheduled to be announced on May 16.
