Fire breaks out at a building near MP secretariat

A minor fire broke out today at Vidhyachal Bhawan, an arm of Madhya Pradesh secretariat, an official said.
However, no one was injured in the blaze.
The fire broke out on the fifth floor of the building situated in the vicinity of the state secretariat - Vallabh Bhawan, under the limits of Jehangirabad police station, he said.
"We received a call at 5.10 PM in this regard. The fire was doused with the help of extinguishers. We had rushed six water tankers but the fire was put off even before the tankers reached the spot," Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) assistant fire officer Sajjid Khan told PTI.

Some papers, curtains and furniture were gutted in the fire, he said, adding prima facie a short circuit could be the reasons for the fire.
