Fire kills infant, girl missing

An infant died and a 12-year-old girl is missing after a fire broke out in a house in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, police said today.
Fire broke out in the house of Showkat Ahmad at Laridoora village of Chandoosa area of the district, a police spokesman said.
He said the blaze was brought under control by fire tenders and police, which recovered the charred body of one year old Mansoor Ahmad from the house.
However, the spokesman said, a 12-year-old girl Nowsheen is missing since the incident and efforts were on to trace her.
