FIRs lodged against 21 school principals for misappropriation

Principals of 21 schools have been booked in Bihar's Gopalganj district for allegedly misappropriating about Rs 4.72 crore meant for construction of school buildings, a top district official said today.
FIRs have been registered against 21 primary and middle schools principals of the district yesterday and today, District Magistrate Krishna Mohan told PTI.
District Education Officer Suresh Prasad said that the issue pertains to the period from 2006 to 2011-12 when money was withdrawn but buildings were not constructed.
The two officials said that legal action would be initiated on the basis of investigation.
