On a complaint of Shankar Lal Gurjar who approached the bureau recently, the ACB lodged the five FIRs against the officials (unnamed) of Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Directorate of Local Bodies, and Bureau of Promotion and Investment Department, and two advertising agencies' persons Ajay Chopra (crayons) and Amit Gupta (Unison), quoting ACB IG Smita Srivastava, the official said here.
The FIRs were registered under several sections of IPC and sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act for alleged corruption in issuing advertisements, the spokesperson said.
The advertisement related to Prashashan Shaharon Ke Sang, Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas, Jal hai to kal hai, Mukhya Mantri Shahari BPL Awas Yojna and Independence Day, quoting the FIR the spokesperson said.
Senior ACB official Manish Tripathi was told to initiate the probe into the five cases, she said.
