First couture fashion show of N-E in Guwahati

Guwahati will host the first-ever couture fashion show in the Northeast from June 21, which will be attended by top nationally-acclaimed designers from across the country and the region.
Abhijit Singha, founder Proprietor of the Mega Entertainment organising the event told reporters today that the two-day fashion weekend, "TRESemme Couture Fashion Weekend 2014", would be held from June 21 at the Pragjyoti Cultural Complex Machkhowa here.
The designers scheduled to participate in the event include Sumit Das Gupta from Mumbai, Robert Naorem from Banglore, Vikas Grover and Amritraj Bora from Delhi, Afsana's by Sanjay Choudhury and Pushpanjali Dutta from Guwahati, Karan Thokchom and Goswami Gurumayum from Imphal and Khrielasier Liezietsu from Kohima, Singha said.

Show director and noted choreographer Priyanka Choudhury said this would not only encourage investment, but also enable artistes to earn well while pursuing their passion and interests.
