Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who also holds finance portfolio, tabled the first supplementary demands in the state assembly, while state agriculture minister Narendra Singh placed it in the upper house.
Modi also tabled Bihar contingency Fund Amendment Bill 2012 which proposes to have a temporary body to take care of the appropriation of contingency funds.
Both the houses were later adjourned as there was no no business slated for the day.
State assembly speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary announced election to the post of the Deputy Speaker of the house would take place on August 6.
Senior BJP MLA Amrendra Pratap Singh appears to be a strong contender for the post.
