Five elephant tusks recovered

Five elephant tusks have been recovered from a car in which three persons were travelling at Phulbari in Darjeeling district.
Acting on a tip off, forest guards intercepted the car and recovered the tusks last night. The tusks were seized and the three persons arrested, Phulbari Forest Ranger Sanjay Dutt said today.
The tusks were worth Rs three lakh in the market.
Of the three arrested, one was the son of a forest department personnel posted at the Raidak forest range, he said.
