Five people including three women died in separateroad accidents in the district during the last 24 hours, police said Tuesday.
A group of 40 people from Kakinada were proceeding in a private bus from Odisha to this district, when the driver suddenly lost control of it due to brake failure and the vehicle turned turtle at Paderu mandalof the agency area.
All the injured were admitted to Anakapalli government hospital and were said to be out of danger.
In another accident, two people died and 10 others sustained injuries when an auto-rickshawrammed into a bike on the ghat road near Chintavanipalem in Vizag Agency, and overturned.
The injured were shifted to the government hospital, where their condition is said to be stable, police said.
