Three persons were killed and two others were injured when a jeep they were travelling in rolled down into a deep gorge in the Kinnaur district, 340 kms from here, SP, Kinnaur Beena Bharti said.
The ill-fated jeep, which was on its way from Chitkul to Sangla, lost its control and fell into the gorge, they said.
Two of the occupants died on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital, Bharti said.
The injured were rushed to Sangla Community Health Centre in serious condition from where they have been referred to IGMC hospital here.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed when the car in which they were travelling collied head-on with a truck near Narayangarh on Himachal-Haryana border this evening, police said.
The deceased were on their way to Shimla when the mishap took place, the SP added.
