Five new judges for Gauhati High Court

Five new judges of the Gauhati High Court were today administered the oath of office by Acting Chief Justice K Shreedhar Rao.
The new judges are Manojit Bhuyan, Michael Zothankhuma, Suman Shyam, Paran Kumar Phukan and Rumi Kumari Phukan.
Monojit Bhuyan and Suman Shyam were senior advocates from Guwahati while Michael Zothankhuma was a senior advocate from Mizoram.
Paran Kumar Phukan was the Presiding Officer of Motor Accidents Claim Tribunal (MACT) and Rumi Kumari Phukan was serving as Dibrugarh District and Sessions Judge.
