Five people crushed to death in Murshidabad district

Five people who were sleeping beneath a truck were crushed to death when a lorry dashed against their stationary vehicle on NH 34 in Murshidabad district in the early hours today, police said.
The five persons were sleeping under their lorry which had developed mechanical problem at Omarpur village last night.
Another lorry rammed into the vehicle killing all the five persons in their sleep, Superintendent of police Humayun Kabir said.
The lorry driver fled after the accident, he said.
