According to the prosecution, a five-member gang had attacked Rajeshkumar (23) while he was playing cricket at a ground at VKK Menon Road here on October 10, 2015.
The attackers had chased Rajeshkumar to a shop and hacked him to death there.
Judge Gunasekaran held the accused guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment for the crime.
The judge also sentenced them to undergo one year of imprisonment for using lethal weapons and 10 years of imprisonment for trespassing into the shop.
