Five youths drown in Ganga river

Five youths, including a minor, drowned in the Ganga river in the past 24 hours when they went to take a bath at different areas in the district, police said today.
16-year-old Aneesh drowned when he was taking a bath at Bithur Ghat, where he had gone with his family yesterday, they said, adding search is on to find him.
In another incident, 19-year-old Vikas Gupta drowned while taking a bath at Bandimata Ghat, where he had gone with his relatives, police said. He too is yet to be found, they said.
Another youth, identified as Raunak (19) drowned when he went to Magzine ghat to take dip along with his family and has been missing, they said.

According to the police, Praveen Yadav (21), son of a police constable, his friend Harish (20) drowned in the river at Siddhnath Ghat, where they had gone to take a dip with three others.
The body of Praveen has been found but Harish is still missing, they said.
Police said search operations are on to find the missing youth.
