While flight operations were reported to be normal, 19 Delhi-bound trains were running behind schedule.
"The maximum temperature settled at 15.7 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, while the minimum stood at 8.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal," a MeT official said.
Humidity levels oscillated between 97 and 80 per cent.
According to Northern Railway, 19 Delhi-bound trains including premier services like Howrah Duronto, Sealdah Duronto and Kanpur Shatabdi were running late by several hours due to bad weather condition.
The airport authorities said that there was no cancellation or diversion of flights but one flight was delayed for a short while due to fog.
The weatherman has predicted dense fog tomorrow morning.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius while the mercury had dipped to a low of 6 degrees Celsius.
