"The minimum temperature recorded at 8.30 AM was 7 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year. The humidity was 97 per cent," a MeT official said.
The visibility at 8.30 AM dropped to 200 metres due to the fog. However, unlike last year the weather conditions did not play
any dampener for the celebrations on Rajpath.
According to railway officials, 30 Delhi-bound trains were delayed and 46 remained cancelled as announced earlier.
The weatherman has predicted a partly cloudy day ahead with the possibility of dense fog tomorrow morning.
