Ford launches sports editions of Figo and Aspire in Guwahati

Ford India today introduced sports editions of hatchback Figo and compact sedan Aspire in Guwahati.
"Fresh, dynamic, spirited and sporty, the new sports editions of Figo and Aspire are all set to take customers on an exhilarating ride and deliver the real fun-of-driving," said Ford India country director-government affairs, Shripad Bhat.
"Since their launch, both Figo and Aspire had set new benchmarks in the segment - from the maximum airbags-on-offer to lowest cost of service," Bhat said at the launch event here.
"The launch of sports editions is yet another stride in our commitment to introduce products that customers want and value. It will help us further strengthen our position in in the segment and industry at large", Bhat said.

Featuring several designs and performance enhancements, the Figo sports edition will be available across dealership showrooms in Guwahati at Rs 7.38 lakh (1.5 Diesel Titanium) and Rs 6.46 lakh (1.2 Petrol Titanium), while the Ford Aspire sports edition will be available at Rs 7.78 lakh (1.5 Diesel Titanium) and Rs 6.66 lakh (1.2 Petrol Titanium).
"True to Ford's commitment to driving enthusiasts, the Figo and Aspire sports editions are engineered to offer precise, agile & responsive steering, stable and predictable handling," he said.

Featuring a tuned suspension, bigger and wider 15-inch alloy wheels enhances the fun-to-drive character of both the models, Bhat said.

A rear spoiler has been added to the Figo sports edition to improve aerodynamics for a more refined performance, the Ford India executive added.
Both the models will be available with a choice of two powertrains - 1.2l TiVCT petrol engine generating a peak power of 88 PS and fuel efficiency of 18.12 Kmpl and 1.5l TDCi diesel engine that generates class-leading power of 100 PS and fuel efficiency of 24.29 Kmpl.
