Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar condoled the death of Yadav, describing him as an efficient politician and prominent social worker.
"His death is a great loss not only in political field but also in social field," Nitish said.
A three time MP from Bhagalpur in 1989, 1991 and 1996, Yadav was born in 1932 in Baluchak, Bhagalpur district.
The former Janata Dal MP is survived by his three sons and two daughters.
