Alleging harassment by seniors and colleagues, Ramchander had killed himself with his service rifle at his residence inside the jail premises.

In the suicide note, he alleged harassment by the then jail superintendent Dharambeer Singh and four wardens, they said.

On the complaint made by his son Vikram, police had registered a case against Dharambeer and the four others accused.

Singh, who is presently posted in Police Training School, was arrested near the police lines last evening, SP Saurabh Singh said.
