Four arrested before making robbery attempt

Four persons were arrested when the police found them moving in a taxi with a fake number plate in the city's posh Shakespeare Sarani area.
The police said that a toy pistol, two knives and a map of the area were seized from them after being stopped near Russell Street late last night.
"The taxi roaming aimlessly near Russel Street had two different set of numbers which caught attention of our officers late last night," the officer said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the four, one a resident of the city and the other three from Bihar, Jharkhand and Mumbai, were planning a robbery somewhere in the area.
