The victim, Ganesh Sukhdeo Abhang (29), was attacked by the four with knives and blades on April 4 and his body was found dumped on a platform of Kalwa railway station, Senior Police Inspector R D Malekar said today.
Abhang was a notorious criminal and was involved in several cases of chain snatching in Thane, Kalyan and other places. He was convicted in one such offence and had come out of the jail 15 days ago, police said.
The murder was the offshoot of a dispute over sharing of looted booty among them.
