Four people -- two boys and two girls -- allegedly committed suicide in two separate incidents in Rajasthan, the police said today.
A boy and a girl -- both aged 17 -- ended their lives by jumping in front of a train in Alwar district, Assistant Sub-Inspector Lakshmi Chauhan said, adding that their bodies were found on railway tracks near the Mathura Fatak area.
They had left their homes late last night but when they did not return their parents lodged a complaint with the police, he said.
Bodies were handed over to family members after post-mortem.
A case under under CrPc 174 has been registered, Chauhan said.
In another incident, a boy and a girl allegedly committed suicide today by jumping from a 45-feet high bridge of a dry river in Pratapgarh district, police said.
The duo -- aged 19 and 20 -- had gone to attend a marriage ceremony in Ranpur village from where they went missing. Later, their bodies were found in a river, SHO, Ghantali police station, Mohan Singh said.
He said the duo lived in a same village and had gone to attend a marriage of their relatives. Bodies were handed over to family members after post mortem, Singh said.
