A senior Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) officer today claimed that at least four to five naxals received bullet injuries during yesterday's encounter with security forces in Dumka district.
Addressing a press conference here, Inspector General of SSB, Sanjay Kumar claimed that at least four to five naxals received bullet injuries during yesterday's encounter in which two naxals were killed.
One SLR, 97 live cartridges, four magazines, a hand grenade were among the items seized from the spot during the search operation launched post-encounter, he added.
Kumar said on seeing the security personnel, the naxals started firing, forcing the security personnel to retaliate.
The security personnel fired around 100 rounds during the encounter, he added.
