Four persons including parents of a woman were arrested today in connection with her suicide in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, police said.
V Krupamani had allegedly killed herself after jumping into Velpuru big canal in the district on October 19, they said.
Her husband Naga Pavan Kumar had lodged a missing person complaint on October 20 with Tanuku rural police, stated an official release from West Godavari district superintendent of police.
Meanwhile, police recovered a suicide note, purportedly written by the deceased, in which she blamed her parents R Ramalingeswara Rao and Lakshmi, brother Rajkumar and one G Sai Srinivas of Kaparru village for abetting her suicide as she refused to oblige them to do prostitution.
The main accused Srinivas' vehicle was found in Visakhpatnam area and police seized his vehicle, a two wheeler and some pen drives from a house yesterday, and also arrested Rao and Lakshmi.
Police apprehended a couple D Manga Thayaru and her husband Rajanna for hiding the culprits at their residence.
"So far four persons were arrested in connection withKrupamani's suicide case. A search is on to trace Srinivas who is a history-sheeter," the release added.
