Freedom fighter dies, cremated

Freedom fighter Ranjit Singh, a close associate of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, died here after a brief illness, family members said.
A member of the Indian National Army led by Subash Chandra Bose, Singh, who passed away on September 20, was cremated at his native Daroli Bhai village here today with full state honours.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa were among those who attended the cremation.
Singh was also president of the Indian Freedom Fighters Association.
