Transporters said easy availability of trucks in the market as compared to restricted cargo movements mainly pulled down freight rates.
Delhi to Chandigarh, Kanpur and Ludhiana freight rates fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 14,000, Rs 16,000 and Rs 15,000.
Rates to Jaipur, Kolkata and Hyderabad moved down by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 13,000, Rs 28,000 and Rs 52,000.
Vijaywada, Bengaluru, Goa and Chennai also went down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 57,000, Rs 62,000, Rs 49,000 and Rs 63,000.
