Transporters said busy cargo movements and less position of trucks in the markets mainly pushed up freight rates.
Capital to Patna, Guwahati and Surat rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 28,000, Rs 55,000 and Rs 28,000.
Rates to Coimbatore and Kochi rates too hardened by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 73,000 and Rs 76,000.
