Freights fall on easy availability of trucks

Freight rates for nine-tonne load for select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today on easy availability of trucks as compared to cargo movements.
Transporters said ample position of trucks against cargo movements pulled down freight rates for select destinations.
Freight rates from Delhi to Chennai and Pondicherry fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 70,000 and Rs 71,000, respectively.
Rates to Coimbatore and Guwahati also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 72,000 and Rs 54,000.
