The procession shouting anti-government slogans covered a distance of 40 km from Ara to here and was participated by hundreds of followers and supporters.
Sena supporters, who turned up in a large number of vehicles including motorcycles, stopped at Bihta, Danapur and Saguna More here and blocked the busy Bailey Road for several hours throwing the vehicular traffic out of gear.
They also blocked roads today at Bhagalpur and at several places between Ara and Patna.
In Bhojpur district, where Singh was gunned down yesterday an uneasy calm prevailed with heavy security blanket spread to tackle any eventuality, official sources said adding police patrolling was intensified in Ara town.
The state was put on a high-alert since the killing and Director General of Police Abhayanand and senior police officials met here this morning and reviewed the situation. MORE
