The show has also got 23 other nods, including Best Supporting Actor (Drama) for Peter Dinklage. GOT stars Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke are competing against each other in the Supporting Actress arena.

Behind Game of Thrones is American Horror Story: Freak Show which has stacked up an impressive 19 nods. Mini-series Olive Kitteridge, starring Frances McDormand followed with 13 nods.
Meanwhile, HBO's Silicon Valley and Veep are vying for Outstanding Comedy Series along with FX's Louie, ABC's Modern Family, NBC's Parks And Recreation, Amazon's Transparent, and Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg will host the event to be held on September 20.
