Gang of robbers busted, eight held

With the arrest of eight persons, police today claimed to have busted an alleged gang of robbers who targeted travellers in the night hours.
Acting on a tip-off, the eight accused were arrested while they were planning a robbery, Superintendent of Police, Ghaziabad, Shiv Shankar Yadav, said.
"They were wanted in several cases of robbery," he said, adding the accused were being questioned about other members of the gang.
A case has been registered against them at Vijay Nagar police station, Yadav said.
The gang operated in the night hours and targeted people at secluded locations, the police official said.
