The accused have been identified as Julfikar (28), Aasim (24) and Abdul Sajid, all residents of Meerut district, they said, adding that 10 stolen cars had been recovered at their instance.
"Police received a tip-off that three vehicle lifters were going to sell a stolen car in Gurgaon yesterday. Acting on this information, police laid a trap and arrested the trio at Sainik Farms in Delhi," said a senior police official.
The official said Julfikar, Aasim and Abdul were wanted in several cases of vehicle thefts.
"With their arrest, police have solved 11 cases of auto thefts. They are now interrogating them about their accomplices," he added.
