According to police, the alleged gang was busted during inquiries to trace a minor girl who was reported missing about 10 days back.
Police said that the girl somehow landed in the clutches of the gang. However, she had a cellphone with her which she used to get in touch yesterday with her parents, who thereafter notified police. Meanwhile, her cellphone was found switched off.
A team which is part of local police's 'Operation Smile', an endeavour to trace missing children, was tasked with recovering the missing girl and it used electronic surveillance to trace her location.
Three persons -- Raju, Ajay and Rajan -- have been arrested in this connection, Singh said, adding that police are trying to locate the parents of the other three rescued girls.
