Gangster involved in criminal cases arrested

A gangster, involved in several criminal cases, was arrested today when he allegedly opened fire in jewellery shop and looted jewels from the shop here, police said.
Paramaguru, a history-sheeter, barged into the shop and opened fire creating a scare among the workers and robbed some jewels in the shop even as his accomplice Kishore was waiting outside on a two-wheeler, police said.
However, the people near the shop, unfazed by the gun shots, overpowered him and forced him to return all the jewels to the shop workers. They also managed to pin him down and hand him over to police, sources said.

Nobody was injured in the firing but the showcase of the shop suffered slight damage, police said, adding Paramaguru is a native of Tamil Nadu while kishore hails from Maharashtra.
An alert has been sounded to nab his accomplice who managed to escape, sources added.
