Gangsters wanted in over 20 cases, arrested

Two alleged notorious gangsters, wanted in around 20 cases in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, have been arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police.
Rajeev Dahiya alias Raju (36) and Rajeev alias Diwanji (33) were arrested by the police who laid a trap after receiving information about them, from near Bhairon Mandir on Thursday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said.
A .30 bore pistol along with cartridges was recovered from Rajiv Dahiya and a country-made pistol of .315 bore along with cartridges was recovered from Rajiv.
The duo was wanted in over 20 cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, kidnapping for ransom, and Arms Act of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. A reward of Rs 20,000 had been declared by the Delhi Police over the arrest of the duo.
A case under appropriate sections of law has been registered and further investigations are on, police said.
