BJP today accused Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of misleading people over growth in the state and demanded that the issues raised by the opposition be taken seriously.
"Growth rate, as per the Government of India's economic survey, is the lowest in Rajasthan among all the states, which shows that Gehlot is misleading the people," party spokesperson Nirmala Sitaraman said here.
"Textile industry, backbone of the industry in Rajasthan, is migrating to Gujarat and Maharastra and Bhilwara Textile Trade Federation has issued a list of 35 textile industries which have either migrated from Rajasthan due to wrong policies of the state or have gone defunct," she claimed.
She said all such issues were being raised by party state president Vasundhara Raje during her 'Suraj Sankalp Yatra' but Gehlot was not taking these issues seriously.
"Gehlot is taking these issues lightly which is not a healthy sign in democratic process. The CM should take the opposition seriously," she said.
Sitaraman also said the previous BJP government led by Raje had taken initiatives to make the state an aviation hub, but the Congress government scrapped those initiatives when it formed the government in last assembly elections.
When asked about the Naxal attack on Congress convoy in Chhattisgarh, Sitaraman said the Raman Singh government has been firm against Maoists and it was Congress which had no one opinion on the issue.
She said the judicial commission formed to probe the attack would nail the culprits.
