Addressing a workshop on the 'International Day Against Drug Abuse and Trafficking', Gehlot said there was a need to create awareness on a large scale against drug addiction.

"The government is making efforts on its level but support of social workers and organisations is required to fight the menace. Young people are becoming drug addicts which is a matter of concern and we all should make effective efforts to curb this," he said.

The Chief Minister also expressed concern over rave parties and said law enforcement agencies must keep a strict vigil to ensure that no such activity takes place.

Later, speaking on the sidelines of the workshop, Gehlot hit out at BJP saying the party and NDA leaders have been exposed by their selection of presidential nominee.

"For presidential post, Pranab Mukherjee is the suitable candidiate and will give a message in the world. NDA has been exposed for their selection of candidate," he said.

"BJP leaders highlight the issue of black money now, but why they did not make efforts when they were in power," he said.

Alleging that corruption flourished under the previous BJP government in the state, he said former IPL boss Lalit Modi indulged in corrupt practices during Vasundhara Raje's regime.

He also dared BJP to project Narendra Modi as the NDA's Prime Ministerial candidate if it had the courage to do so.
