Actor-filmmaker George Clooney is in early talks to direct crime noir drama "Suburbicon".
If things work out, Clooney, 54, will work on a script by Joel and Ethan Coen, reported Deadline.
Little is known about the specific plot, but the movie will be made on the lines of Coens' breakout film "Blood Simple", a crime drama set in the 1950s.
"Suburbicon" is being set up at Sony's TriStar Pictures.
Clooney has worked with the Coens on several projects, beginning with 2000's "O Brother, Where Art Thou?", 2003's "Intolerable Cruelty" and 2008's "Burn After Reading".
