Girl crushed to death under wheel of father's tractor

A three-year-old girl died after she accidentally came under the wheel of a tractor driven by her father in Loyej village in Mangrol tehsil of Junagadh district today, police said.
The girl, identified as Krishna Bamrotiya, was taking a ride in the tractor as her father Ramabhai (20) was driving the vehicle in front of their residence, police said.
However, when he started driving the vehicle in reverse direction, the girl lost her balance and fell on the ground and accidentally came under its rear wheel, officer at Mangrol Police Station, Pethabhai Dangar, said.
"The toddler was crushed to death under the vehicle," he said.

The father of the victim, who went into shock and fell unconscious after the incident, was rushed to a local hospital.
The girl's body was sent to a government hospital for post-mortem, he said.
Police have registered a case against Ramabhai under IPC sections 304 (A) (causing death by negligence) and 279 (rash and negligent driving), he said.
