Girl molested by minor boy in UP

A six-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a minor boy in Lalganj area here, police said today.
Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Pratap Singh said the 13-year-old accused, a class II student, attempted to sexually molest the girl, his neighbour, on Sunday after which a complaint was lodged next day.
Both the boy and the girl were sent for medical examination which confirmed molestation attempt on the victim, he said.
The boy was taken into custody yesterday, he said.
The accused was later produced in the court which directed police to hand him over to the custody of his parents till investigations are over, Singh said.

The matter was being investigated and further action would be taken on the directives of the court, the ASP said.
