He said that the Centre could have distributed the compensation on its own but it will not do so under the federal system.
Addressing party's State Executive meeting here today, the BJP chief said no one can prevent his party from coming to power in the state in the 2017 assembly elections.
Shah asked the cadres to reach out to people and help strengthen the organisation. He said being in power in the state will not do much benefit to the Samajwadi Party.
"There will be a lot of issues for doing politics. Please do not do politics with farmers. Whatever Central aid has been sent by the Modi government, kindly distribute it to affected farmers," he said at the meeting, asking them to conduct a fresh survey under changed criterion.
He said that BJP workers will reach out to affected farmers and ensure that the state government provides them enhanced relief after the NDA government changed the criterion for providing such compensation.
"The Government of India gave you money to grant relief to farmers affected by rains. What are you waiting for. BJP leaders have visited 25 places in Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh ji have you visited even one place. What are you waiting for?," he asked, adding that the Centre could have distributed the compensation of its own but it will not do so under the federal system.
Targeting the Akhilesh government, he said that there is a "commission Raj" under Smajawadi Party rule and jobs are being sold and "commission culture is continuing".
