GJM meets Bengal government offcial to sort out problems

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha today held ameeting with the West Bengal government to resolve their demands.
The meeting was held in the presence of state chief secretary Sanjay Mitra along with senior officials of other six departments.
After the meeting at the state secretariat, GJM genereal secretary Roshan Giri said the next bilateral meeting would take place at Darjeeling on December 15.
Morcha had demanded that GTA employees and 515 temporary teachers had to be made permanent.
Giri said regarding the teachers he had words with Education Minister Partha Chatterjee.
He said the problem is due to the previous government. Adding further he said that Mitra had informed that within December 15, the 150 cases pending againt the morcha members, registered during the Gorkha protests will be withdrawn.

State has informed them that for tribal status they have already moved the Centre and number of blocks had been increased to 21 against 8 proposed earlier.
Regarding transfer of depertments to GTA, Giri said so far 34 departments had been transferred but they had not been done properly, issues and many departments are yet to be transfered.
The government has agreed to transfer many depertments under the control of GTA for managing their administrative area with greater liberty.
