A confident-looking Goa are keen to have the right start when they take on Hyderabad tomorrow in their first four-day Ranji trophy Group C match at Goa Cricket Academy ground at Porvorim.
Goa team, under the watchful eyes of coach Hritikesh Kanetkar, had a good practice pre-season and are looking good in both batting and bowling departments.
The visitors have a psychological advantage against Goa having not lost against the hosts in the Ranji matches so far.
Goa will pin their hopes on captain Dheeraj Jhadav, Rituraj Singh and Prasanth Parameshwaran.
With experienced local players like Amog Dessai, Sagun Kamat, Darshan Mishal, all-rounder Saurab Bandekar, Swapnil Asnodkar and Keenan Vaz, their batting looks sound.
Goa's bowling line also looks equally good with pacer Gauresh Gawas, Saurab Bandekar and left-arm spinner Shadab Jakati and right arm spinner Amit Yadav in their ranks.
