He also welcomed the appointment of Navjot Singh Siddhu who will assist Gadkari in overseeing party's preparations for the polls.
"I am confident that the experience and dynamism of these two leaders will help all the party cadres immensely," Goel said.
The city BJP has already started a campaign to dethrone the Sheila Dikshit dispensation which is in power for over 14 years.
Goel said Gadkari's appointment as in-charge of the party will enthuse the grass root workers.
A number of senior leaders, including V K Malhotra, Harsh Vardhan and Vijendra Gupta have already conveyed their unhappiness over the style of functioning of Goel.
Sources said a number of senior leaders have complained to top BJP leadership that Goel was trying to "sideline" them.
A section of Delhi BJP has also been pressing for declaring a chief ministerial candidate of the party to take on Dikshit.
