Gold and other valuables seized from 2 railway passengers

Gold weighing 3.6 kg were among valuables seized from two passengers in two separate incidents at Chennai Central Railway Station today, police said.
Police said 3.689 kg gold, 4.5 karat diamond and 3.2 kg of platinum were seized from a person identified as Vasundaraj from T Nagar in the city, who was proceeding to Thiruvananthapuram.
Since he didn't have sufficient documents, he was being questioned, they said.
Likewise, during random checking, 25 kg silver was found in the possession of Vigneshwara Rao of Andhra Pradesh, police said.
