Gold bars worth Rs 2.50 Cr seized from air passenger

Customs officials at the airport here today seized 7.9 kilograms of gold bars, estimated to be worth Rs 2.50 crore, and arrested one person, an official release said.

The officials of the Air Intelligence wing intercepted a 24-year-old passenger, Umar Syed, upon his arrival from Dubai after noticing his suspicious movement through the aero-bridge corridor today, an official release said.
