Gold worth Rs 5.50 lakh seized from passenger
Press Trust of India Mangalore The officers of Customs at Mangalore International Airport have seized 204 grams of gold, valued around Rs.5.50 lakh from a passenger from Dubai.
The gold was concealed in the form of a measuring tape, buckles of a rexine travel bag, buckles of sandals, handles of hair brush and pen refill kept in a travel bag, a senior Customs official said.
The passenger from Kasaragod District in Kerala arrived at the airport yesterday and further probe was on, Pravin Vinod, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, said.
